Well, forgot a whole lot of general questions for my hasty first post, so this will be a sort of part 2, if you will.
Where were you born?
Chicago, although given that we were only there for nine months before moving to Colorado Springs, I might technically actually be considered a Colorado native.
What's your schooling like?
Well right now I'm still in high school (junior year), & I'm hoping to apply to a school with an excellent geology program later this year (something like University of Arizona or Caltech).
What's your favorite movie?
As a true Dinosaur nerd, you would think number one would be Jurassic Park, but that actually sits at a comfortable number two spot. My number one favorite is Mad Max: Fury Road, AKA, the really awesome version of any action movie ever made before (including The Road Warrior). Third is Jurassic World, the only good Jurassic Park sequel (*Alan* ;).
Favorite band/song?
Number one band is definitely AC/DC, though I grew up listening mostly to Nickelback (I don't care what you say, they are amazing). My number one song is between Thunderstruck, Back in Black, TNT, Highway to Hell, For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), Who Made Who, Rock N Roll Train, That's the Way I Wanna Rock N Roll, Rock or Bust, or Rock N Roll Ain't Noise Pollution (gotta love those long AC/DC song titles though).
The wonderful world of Gunnar Bivens. Here, we talk about everything from Paleontology, to Military technology, Rock N Roll, Astronomy (and other fascinating science topics), even rap. I will however, avoid politics as much as possible. Here are links to all my accounts to find me and communicate with me. First Post
Finally got one of these set up. This will be my new site for sharing updates about everything I have an interest in. This will probably, due my current studies, be a heavily Paleo-based blog, but I will post on other things that happen as much as possible. Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or concerns, & I will try to get back to you as fast as possible. As procedure dictates, I'll start this first post off with a general "about me" section:
Who are you?
I'm an artist & researcher hoping to one day become a paleontologist. I personally love drawing Dinosaurs the most, & aim for anatomical accuracy & a visually attractive final product (hence the vibrant colors).
What's your favorite Dinosaur?
My favorite Theropod (& favorite Dinosaur) is Saurophaganax maximus, & my favorite Sauropod is probably either Daxiatitan, Seismosaurus (or is it Diplodocus?), or some other Titanosauriform.
What are your other interests besides Paleontology?
Too many to name. I like history, military technology, astronomy, geology, math, writing, Rock N Roll, economics, gaming, model building, & certain TV shows & movies. That's just scratching the surface of it all.
